At GMT, we remain steadfast in our commitment to making a positive impact on our planet and the communities we serve. Through our ongoing support for the 001-OxC Project, we’re thrilled to share the strides we are making in advancing silvofishery—a sustainable practice that integrates mangrove restoration with aquaculture.

We continue to fund local pond owners, providing them with essential resources to enhance their aquaculture activities. This includes distributing necessary equipment and conducting training sessions and workshops aimed at improving both yield and sustainability. One of the highlights of our project this year has been the series of training sessions conducted by our local partner, Yagasu. These sessions empower local farmers with the skills needed to prepare and use pond probiotics, which are created using natural materials to improve water quality and boost the health and productivity of fish and shrimp.

Our project also extends beyond aquaculture, as we assist local communities in marketing their fish and shrimp products within local markets. This helps to sustain their livelihoods and ensures that the benefits of sustainable practices are felt throughout the community.

As we move forward, GMT is committed to continuing our support for these vital activities. We believe in the power of community and sustainable practices to bring about real, lasting change. Together, we are not just restoring mangrove forests; we are revitalizing communities, supporting local economies, and making strides towards a more sustainable and equitable world.

We thank all our supporters, partners, and community members who join us in this journey. Your involvement and support are what make these achievements possible. Let’s continue to inspire and activate positive change together!
